Having Faith, Staying Positive and Embracing New Beginnings: 3 month follow-up
A little over three months ago I wrote this post after being let go from my part-time job of the past 9 years. I decided to take a positive spin on the situation, have faith in the future and embrace whatever new beginnings may await me.
My main messages (and reminders to myself!) were –
Don’t let fear, worry and doubt into your life.
Think positive in each moment. Have faith in the future.
Remember that “just because something good ends, doesn’t mean something better won’t begin.”
“Faith & fear have one thing in common. They both believe in a future that hasn’t happened yet. Choose to believe in a positive future. Choose faith.” – Jon Gordon
While I stayed positive and had faith in our future, I never would have imagined what was in store for us. I never would have dreamed that after the job change period of college coaching had come and gone, we would be faced with decisions that would change the course of our future.
Including a move 1000 miles away from home.
An opportunity that couldn’t be turned down. One that is filled with excitement, adventures and endless possibilities.
Since our marriage 10 years ago next week, this will be our 5th move. Each opportunity has been amazing and the decisions have always felt right.
This move is no different in that regard, but very different in others. It has the possibility to evoke a multitude of fear and doubt. There are so many things that could go wrong or not fall into place.
But acknowledging those would be living with fear and doubt. And I know that does not help anything.
Instead, I am going to once again – stay positive in each moment, have faith in the future, express gratitude for the opportunity and embrace this exciting new beginning!
And we could always use extra positive thoughts/energy/prayers that our house sells quickly, the transition goes smoothly and we don’t freak out being so far away from our friends and family!!!
Much Love and Gratitude,
Molly
